Summertime Sweetness
After a long day by the pool with your friends and family, the perfect way to cool down your summer cookout is to end the night with some sweet treats! Yeah, your usual fruit salads and s’mores are nice, but why not go above and beyond and put a twist on your traditional snacks?
We here at JDK have all been inspired by these new desserts and think they would be innovative additions to our menu! Meanwhile, our own culinary team has been hard at work this summer to make sure your party desserts are nothing short of delicious!
Here’s a couple of desserts that inspired us the most and want to share to help you get creative with your summertime desserts…
1) Banana Split Bites
What’s summer without fresh fruit?! Have the best of both worlds; sweet and healthy! Liz from liveloveliz shows us an easy and convenient way to turn a usually messy treat into a bite-size snack. Just cut up some different fruits like strawberries, bananas, and pineapples and place them on a skewer. Then dip them in your favorite melted chocolate and add some toppings for more flavor like walnuts and coconut.
2) Fruit Salsa & Cinnamon Chips
Taste of Home impressed us with this spin on the traditional salsa and chips. Instead of greeting your guests with potato chips and french onion dip, why not start dessert early? This delicious fruit salsa partnered up with these cinnamon chips will be sure to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. buy revatio online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/revatio.html no prescription
Prepare the salsa by peeling and cutting up all types of fruits (kiwis, apples, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc.) and throw them all in a large bowl. Add some white and brown sugar along with the fruit preserves to the mix then place it in the refrigerator.
As the salsa is chilling, grab some flour tortillas and coat them with some cooking spray then sprinkle your desired amount of cinnamon sugar. Bake them for about 10 minutes. Once they’re out of the oven, the tortillas should be crispy chips. Grab your chilled salsa and you’re ready to go!
3) S’mores Dip
An all time summer favorite, s’mores continue to be a classic dessert on a warm evening by the fire. But what if your guests just can’t wait until sunset? Five Heart Home shares a quick way to bring s’mores to the dinner table. S’mores dip has been an up and coming treat that has thrilled everyone. Not only because of its deliciousness, but because of its convenience too! buy singulair online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/singulair.html no prescription
Forget the roasting sticks and time waiting for the perfectly roasted marshmallows. S’mores dips has everything ready for you in one dish! Grab a pie pan and add a layer of chocolate chips. On top of that, add a layer of marshmallows. Set in the oven for about 5 to 7 minutes and voila! Get yourself some graham crackers and dip away!
4) Churro Ice Cream Bowls
Tasty never fails to come up with the most creative recipes. Ditch the small ice cream bowls and make your own out of churros! Make the churro batter in a saucepan then pour it all into a piping back. Grab a muffin tin and flip it over. Then, pipe the dough around the inverted cups in spirals.
Next, freeze the dough on the muffin tin. Once frozen, take it out and pop the spiral cups off. Fry the churro bowls in batches. When they looked fried to your liking, take them out and sprinkle some cinnamon sugar as desired. Top them off with your favorite ice cream flavor!
5) Sand Pudding
Sounds weird, huh? But what if we told you this dessert is one for the books?! As crazy as it may sound, the sweet treat is just a mixture of vanilla pudding and smashed golden Oreos. Kids are guaranteed to love them! Lil’ Luna shared the entire recipe on her blog and let us know that the unique snack will be “shore” to surprise your guests. So bring the beach to your backyard! buy symbicort online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/symbicort.html no prescription
6) Strawberry Brownie Skewers
Who doesn’t love brownies? Erica’s Sweet Tooth shares a great way to stack some snacks on a skewer. First, you’ll need to gather some strawberries, marshmallows, and brownie bites. If you have no time to bake the brownies, no worries, Little Bites Fudge Brownies are the perfect substitute. Place some of each on a skewer then finish it with some drizzles of chocolate on top.
