On a perfect August day in 2015, Chris and Danielle (Dani), who have known each other since elementary school, took their relationship to the next level. Because they both love the simple beauty of nature, they decided to throw a rustic wedding with many down-home touches. The Farm at Eagles Ridge nestled in the scenic countryside of Lancaster county, provided the perfect rural setting for a rustic wedding. The country charm of this event made it easy-going and casual, while still retaining an element of understated elegance.

Before the ceremony, Nathan Desch, the couple’s photographer, took full advantage of this beautiful setting in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

The ceremony
The ceremony was held lakeside, with wispy trees framing the wedding party.

After the ceremony, wine was available for the guests to enjoy as they waited in the greeting line. buy priligy online https://www.mabvi.org/wp-content/languages/new/priligy.html no prescription
Tailgating a cocktail reception
Chris and Dani provided a rusty truck and many unique decor pieces to help set the country atmosphere for the rustic cocktail reception.
The JDK Group used the flatbed of the pickup truck to display assorted cheeses with local PA smokehouse meats. The butlered hors d’oeuvres on offer were raspberry barbecue shrimp, mac ‘n’ cheese bites on edible spoons and carolina pulled pork sliders.
Under the eaves of the barn, wedding favors of maple syrup and honey sat lined up on weathered boards. Each one had a tag on it with the name of a guest and their table assignment. Werner Farms, a family farm associated with the groom, provided the honey, while the maple syrup was actually harvested by the groom. buy flomax online https://www.mabvi.org/wp-content/languages/new/flomax.html no prescription
The reception
Inside the barn, draped fabric, colored lights and beautiful spotlit tablescapes welcomed guests into another world.
When the wedding party arrived, the couple enjoyed a dance. Here the bride’s gown is shown in all of its simple but elegant glory.
After the bridal dance, The JDK Group catered a full-service meal . On the menu: a summer berry salad, fresh artisan bread, roasted herb potatoes and a local seasonal vegetable medley. For the meat entree, guests were given a choice of petite grilled filet mignon or grilled boneless chicken breast.
Reception cocktails
In addition to the reception area, there was a casual seating area set up in the corn crib.
Lights strung between the barn and the corn crib created a fun cocktail area.
Meanwhile, back inside the barn, the couple cut the wedding cake. The bride’s aunt made this festive, fruit-filled, layered cake (called a naked cake), while six different flavors of cupcakes from the Camp Hill Bakery were served to the guests. In addition to this, The JDK Group served mini mason jar desserts of apple, peach and blueberry cobbler, and assorted cookie pops in chocolate chip, sugar, oatmeal raisin and chocolate caramel.
If guests got hungry as the evening wore on, they could eat clothespin s’mores, which are chocolate dipped graham crackers finished with marshmallow fluff and then torched by a professional server. Also available was fresh buttered popcorn in brown craft bags.
The evening culminated in a huge group-hug with the new Mr. & Mrs. in the heart of the circle.
Finally, the guests sent off the happy couple with a sparkler farewell.
Chris & Dani’s vision for a rustic wedding was perfectly suited to their choice of venue. Every decision they made was focused on their guests’ comfort and the simple joy of celebrating this momentous occasion with friends and family. We here at JDK want to wish Chris & Dani the very best in their future together!
