Beginning with an early VIP reception, guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres of grilled poached pears, seared scallops, and beef and parmesan pizzel cones. A strolling champagne woman and wine gentleman in tuxedo served welcome beverages as guests entered down the red carpet. A formal served dinner began with butternut squash bisque that was the prelude to the chilean sea bass paired with braised beef short rib. Macaroons and flambeed doughnuts completed the menu for the evening.
To create the theme of the Red Carpet Soiree, red lighting was used to highlight the airport’s Travelator in order to create a true red carpet entrance. The red carpet theme appeared again as guests entered the main dinner reception that was flanked with crystal chandeliers hung against a black draped background. The unique seating arrangements that incorporated a mixture of King Arthur style tables and round tables helped to display the formal and elegant atmosphere of the event.
